Patricia Meyers (aka Miss Pat or just Pat) has over 20 years of experience in children’s ministry. She's married with three children of her own -- a constant source of learning! Pat is also on the board of a missions organization ministering to orphaned and abandoned children in Third World Countries. For the majority of the ‘90s through 2001 she served a growing, thriving church as their full-time Children’s Minister. Pat joined the children’s ministry team when the total number of children averaged 15-20 and the volunteer base was in the single digits. Upon leaving to follow the Lord’s leading in her own ministry with an emphasis on speaking and writing, the number of children was 300 with the volunteer base about the same.

Now she travels across the country speaking at Children's Ministry conferences and seminars as well as churches training, encouraging and counseling Children's Leaders and Workers.  Her speaking engagements include the Children's Pastor's Conferences hosted by INCM, Bring Them In Conferences, among others.

Pat’s strengths are originality, creativity, ability to inspire and motivate as well as a strong conviction to safety and wisdom in staffing rooms and applying truths. Her staff did not change much over the years remaining loyal, excited, full of fire, and growing in the Lord and in strength of ministry.

She believes that children like to be taught with humor and with strength. They feel safe when the teacher is totally in charge. Pat carries that strength and handles a roomful of children with ease and lots of fun. She believes children can learn the Bible and should be expected to. While strong Bible teaching is a core belief, so is the belief that children need to be allowed to be children. Her lessons are accompanied by stories, object lessons, games, and lots of humor with a large dose of expecting children to respect the teacher and each other.

Currently, Pat is producing her own line of Children’s Church curriculum and other resources to assist workers in their endeavor to obey God and instill in our children the glorious works of the Lord as well as traveling nationwide speaking at conferences and in churches.
